COLLINS BARRAKS

On Thursday we got up at 7 and we went to school. When school ended we had lunch and we went by train to the center of Dublin. When we arrived, we walked to Collins Barracks and up to the National Museum to see the exhibition of Collins Barracks.

Collins Barracks is a former military barracks in the Arbour Hill area of Dublin, Ireland. The buildings are now the National Museum of Ireland, Decorative Arts and History. Originally called simply The Barracks Barracks, and later The Royal Barracks, the name was changed to Collins when they became the Irish Free State in 1922.

Built in 1702, and further extended in the late 18th century and 19th century, the complex's main buildings are neo-classical in style.

There we visited the museum different exhibitions

The most important was the army, which had models, costumes and clothing of the Irish war of independence.

There were also exposed XXVIII century Irish clothes and jewels of Irish kingship.
