TRINITY COLLEGE AND DUBLIN CASTLE

On Tuesday, that was the fourth day of our trip, we woke up at 7:15. That morning we had cereals and toast for breakfast. As each of the nine days of our stay in Bray, we went first to the ATC academy to take our English classes. After leaving, around two o'clock in the afternoon, we took a train to Dublin downtown. Once there we headed Trinity College, the most famous Irish university.

We entered and could do the touristic tour, where we saw the Book of Kells, which is the most important manuscript of the country's history. It contains the first signs of their traditional language : Gaelic, a Celtic language spoken especially in the western counties and which has a common origin and a close similarity to the Celtic languages of Scotland and French Brittany

All signs in Ireland are written in both English and GaelicIn addition, we saw the huge and impressive university library.

Our guide said that a copy of each book published in the world is sent there. I don't think so, because we are talking about millions of copies in more than 500 languages. They wouldn't fit in the enclosure. However, the comment served to give us an idea of its dimensions.

From there we went to Dublin Castle, that actually is for government use. A guide showed us the inside and told about the history of the kings and royal families who had been there.

After the guided tour we had time to take some pictures and have a rest. A few minutes later, we walked to the train station to go back to Bray, the village where we stayed.

Once home, after a busy day, we had Russian chicken tenders for dinner, took a shower and went to sleep, to recharge our batteries for the next day.
